About this artwork
For me, this work is a journey through light and silence. A gentle glow – like the golden touch of an autumn day. Between warm rust red, cool turquoise, and delicate veils of mist, a quiet melancholy unfolds. Golden Fade speaks of the magic of transition, of letting go, and the faint afterglow of the past.
Irmgard Risch is a Swiss painter. Coming from a family of artists, she has been involved in creative work since her early youth. This has shaped her inner connection to art. Her abstract works express the interplay of light, shadow, and stillness. Inspired by nature, memory, and emotion, she transforms color and structure, layer upon layer, into atmospheres. She is self-taught, supplemented by various continuing education courses and exhibitions. She primarily uses acrylic, oil, chalk, charcoal, pigments, and structural materials on canvas. Her technique consists of the complex construction of color layers, with drawing and painting merging into exciting, transparent surfaces. She creates works full of depth that convey change, memory, and a mysterious sea of emotions, particularly evoking longing and the mystical.
