These sculptures embody unity and connection, crafted with warm bronze to evoke timeless strength. I wanted to capture the essence of togetherness through abstract forms that embrace one another, creating a harmonious family bond. Its freestanding design invites viewers to experience its presence from every angle, filling any space with a powerful, nurturing energy that celebrates collective support and love.
Isaac Iken Emokpae, a Nigerian visual artist with a self-taught foundation enriched by formal tutelage at the University of Lagos, works across painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, and conceptual media. He employs abstract expressionist techniques, mixed and new media, and often utilizes translucent materials like stained plexiglass to evoke the monad—the human soul. His artworks channel profound emotions of faith, the duality of existence, and the intimacy of family, inviting viewers to see the extraordinary in everyday African life.
