About this artwork
Passionate about Native American culture, I wanted to pay homage to it by creating this symbolically represented doctor's wheel or circle of life.
The circle of life traced on the ground by Native American shamans in the tradition of their rites is divided into four parts. It represents the four parts of a life
The yellow represented by the eagle denotes childhood, innocence, birth,
The red represented by the wolf denotes the ardor of youth,
… The black represented by the bear denotes adulthood and maturity,
The white represented by the white bison, sacred bison, signifies old age but also wisdom and rebirth.
The Appaloosa horse is a symbol of freedom for the Native Americans.
In this drawing, we can see a dreamcatcher, another symbol of these nations.
It's up to you to explore with your vision these ancient traditions saved by the new generations of these peoples.
