'Midnight Walk' captures the introspective calm of a solitary walk beneath a deep, silent sky. Working primarily with a palette knife, I layered rich blues, indigos, and blacks to evoke the textures and moods of night—wet pavement, blurred lights, distant thoughts. The vertical strokes mirror both falling rain and quiet footsteps, creating a rhythm of stillness in motion.
This piece isn’t about place but feeling. The abstract forms suggest shadows,… reflections, and the soft pull of memory. Some areas are built up with thick impasto, while others fade into smooth transitions, like thoughts passing through the mind at midnight.
