About this artwork
Kazbek is not just a mountain, it is a symbol of indomitable spirit. In this painting, I wanted to capture the power of nature and its impact on humans. The figure of the traveler in the foreground emphasizes the scale of the mountain landscape and reminds us of the eternal human aspiration to the peaks.
This is my only painting that is signed "Yurko" instead of "Yura Zaika".
