This diptych, part of the series "Between the Surfaces," the sign develops like a continuous flow that crosses two distinct surfaces, without ever really interrupting.
The tracks are distributed with balance, generating a fluid tension between the parts: each element finds meaning in its relationship with the other, in a silent dialogue made of distance, presence, and listening.
The material, constructed through light stratifications, opens like… a threshold, allowing depth and subtle variations to emerge. White becomes an active space, capable of welcoming and amplifying the movement of the sign.

Ivana Urso is a contemporary Italian artist whose work has transcended national borders, with exhibitions in Bulgaria, Russia, and France. Her research stems from the dialogue between matter and imagination and explores space as a physical and symbolic dimension.
From previous lunar visions and circular forms, his work today evolves into the Oltre il Bianco series: no longer within the circle, but in an external space. Layered material backgrounds interact with subtle black marks and essential chromatic hints, generating subtle tensions and perceptive depth. The works invite a slow, contemplative vision, transforming white into an active field of balance, light, and form.
