About this artwork
In this piece I worked with acrylic and ink on paper to achieve a minimalistic yet symbolic representation. The butterfly, half abstract, half lifelike, symbolizes transformation and freedom. The earthy tones in the background contrast with the vibrant color accents of the butterfly, making the artwork energetic yet calming. It is intended to evoke a sense of hope and renewal in the viewer.

Jörg "Yogi" Schäfer is a German artist whose paintings have been shown in numerous exhibitions throughout Germany. His artistic practice focuses on translating sounds into colors and forms, as well as communicating sounds through structures, geometry, and color design. With his compositions, he aims to convey harmony and tranquility that have a positive influence on people and spaces. Since 2019, he and his partner Kerstin Franz (also found here) have shared studio and exhibition space in Freigericht.
