About this artwork
The basis was a collage that was attacked with emotionally intense Acton Painting at a live concert (experimental rock music). I captured raw energy and inner conflict. The combination of bold acrylic paints, expressive spray paint, and chalk strokes creates a dynamic tension between chaos and control. The semi-abstract figuration depicts the struggle with both threat and hope. It brings a powerful, vibrant feeling to any space and invites the viewer… to boldly explore their own emotions.
Jürgen Wagner works as a painter, graphic artist, performer, and art teacher, influenced by a scholarship program at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. His expressive, informal figuration often arises from free painting actions to music, and he experiments with collages, overpainting, and mixed media. In his artistic work, spontaneity, movement, and energetic colors merge into sensual states of intoxication—his works convey ecstasy, freedom, and the celebration of existential vitality.
