About this artwork
This acrylic painting bursts with vibrant energy, capturing the fleeting beauty of blooming flowers through impressionistic brushstrokes. I wanted to convey the passion and life pulsating in nature, inviting you to feel the warmth and movement of a garden in full bloom. Hanging in your space, it will bring a lively, uplifting spirit, reminding you of nature’s endless dance of color and light.
My name is Jacopo Rizzo, signed JR, a self-taught and extemporaneous artist, musician, son of a musician father and artist mother, I use acrylics in painting and marble in sculpture, alternating textured surfaces and essential forms. I experiment with vibrant seascapes, flowery fields, fluid art, and totemic sculptures, favoring the pure physicality of the pictorial gesture and the totemic rawness of the sculptural mark. My works convey a sense of emotional urgency, transforming inner experience into visual energy and poetic tension, inviting the viewer to feel deeply before even understanding. I use humble, raw materials—industrial OSB or MDF wood panels, poplar plywood, multilayer, and chipboard—to reclaim what nature has already provided. My marble is humble, unpretentious, brought to life through engraving and chiseling, without burdening the mountains or further removing other pieces from nature. Simple and instinctive art.
