About this artwork
In creating this artwork, I aimed to capture a symphony of raw emotions and layered complexity. I used acrylics with collage elements and enamel highlights to create a textural depth that invites viewers to explore the interplay of form and abstraction. This piece, infused with the spirit of expressionism and semi-abstract figures, seeks to evoke both introspection and celebration of individual uniqueness. The combination of bold and golden colors… and textures strives to imbue any space with a vibrant, emotive energy.
Jacqueline Engels is an artist based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her landscapes, urban scenes, and conceptual based pieces are most often created in series. In an artistic practice that is marked by coincidence, Engels alternates between themes and pieces at the same time, "fluttering back and forth".
