In Chaotic Beauty, Jacques Sterenberg invites us to contemplate nature through a lens of vibrant energy and chromatic synthesis. The composition is divided into horizontal planes that guide the eye: from a field of wildflowers, rendered with rhythmic and almost abstract brushstrokes in shades of blue, yellow,…
and ochre, to a line of rounded trees that act as sentinels of the landscape. In the background, the mountains unfold in soft gradations of green and blue, crowned by a sky charged with atmosphere and light. True to his distinctive style, Sterenberg uses color not only to describe reality but also to evoke emotion. The "chaos" of the title is manifested in the freedom of the brushstrokes and the richness of nuances in the foliage, while the "beauty" resides in the harmonious balance of the scene.

Jacques Sterenberg is a contemporary painter with an international career, born in Santiago, Chile, and based in Israel since the mid-1990s. His work acts as a visual bridge between two worlds, fusing South American expressive energy with the light and unique landscapes of the Middle East.
Trained at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Chile, Sterenberg was a key figure in the Chilean art movements of the 1980s before moving to Israel, where he was awarded the Fellowship for Artists of Excellence. Throughout his career, his work has been recognized with awards from prestigious institutions such as the Jerusalem Post Foundation, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF), and the Ñuñoa Cultural Institute.
