About this artwork
The work portrays a character who wanders through the mountains of Tepoztlán carrying a watermelon on his head to quench his thirst. The wanderer travels without a specific direction because he tries to reach the monolithic archaeological zone of Malinalco, from Tepozteco, without knowing how. His fellow adventurers carry smaller fruits with them because they know that the road is long and tortuous, between cliffs, hills and nopales.
« Not everyone who sings is a singer. Also, not everyone who paints is a painter in the same way that not every painter is an artist. You must have talent, creativity, and discipline. »
