In Mexico there are plants that are sacred by ancestral rites, such as hallucinatory mushrooms, peyote and others. The work is made on 300 gram Arches Velin paper, it is a monotype, it is a unique piece. The materials used to make it are of the highest quality. The theme refers to the magical religious use of botany in Mexico.

Jaime Lupercio is a prize-winning painter and printmaker who resides in Mexico. His works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Ecuador, Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. He describes the themes of his compositions as extremely varied, including the neighbor's dog, to the night magic of the caves in the Arcanos. Lupercio's style is defined within Neo-Mexicanism and magical realism which is dictated by the forms, colors, and themes used.
