About this artwork
The painting is done in acrylic / fabric, it speaks of an iguana that walks in the field accompanied by a badger, who is an accomplice of the iguana's antics. The colors are in a contrast between blue, red, yellow, magenta and green. The common iguana or green iguana (Iguana iguana) is a large tree lizard from Central and South America. It is found from Mexico to the southeast of Brazil and the Pantanal of Paraguay, as well as in the Caribbean islands…
and, in a wild way, in Florida (United States). They measure up to 2 m in length from head to tail and can weigh more than 15 kg. It belongs to the largest and most complicated group of New World saurus, to which most species belong. It is included in the iguanid family.

Jaime Lupercio is a prize-winning painter and printmaker who resides in Mexico. His works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Ecuador, Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. He describes the themes of his compositions as extremely varied, including the neighbor's dog, to the night magic of the caves in the Arcanos. Lupercio's style is defined within Neo-Mexicanism and magical realism which is dictated by the forms, colors, and themes used.
