About this artwork
Lakota Grass dancer at Daniels Park, Colorado. Men wear strands of yarn or ribbon hanging from their arms and waist to represent grass in the spiritual world. Their graceful dance flows like the rippling prairie grasses. It evolved from dancers tucking grasses into their belts on a very colorful fringe and ribbon outfit.
