About this artwork
A burst of color like a heart's big bang: pink plasma pulsates in vibrant magenta, interspersed with luminous explosions of red, yellow, and white. The composition appears like a moment in motion—a frozen impulse, raw, electric, almost organic.
The erupting lines are reminiscent of fiery eruptions or energetic discharges in an alien cosmos. A central field of tension draws the eye into the depths, while the color traces unfold radially – uncontrolled… yet deliberately placed.
Pink Plasma is an emotional statement. It is warmth, power, ecstasy. It is a vibrant intermediate state between stillness and storm, between body and emotion—like the flash of an inner lightning bolt on the canvas.
Jan Baumeister, a former design manager, prefers to use mixed media in his artworks. With an experimental approach, he combines fragments of thought, emotions and design expertise in bold combinations of style and technique. The dynamism and passion that he projects onto the canvas give each work a personal and emotional charge.
