About this artwork
Using a form is part of this work of art. Its enclosed space, the boundaries of which are defined by other elements of "color" a rhythmic composition in sixteen black, red, orange shapes, tones music against a floating blue.
« I am searching for simplicity in shapes, tightness of nature, and things of beauty. I hope the viewer experiences a sense of contemplation and that my art touches something within. »
Jan-Thomas Ölund is a Swedish artist I am a visual art painter, showcases a collection of abstract and post-minimalistic paintings. My work is characterized by its exploration of form, color, and the essence of minimalism, stripping down to the fundamental aspects of visual expression. My abstract works often feature a vibrant palette and dynamic compositions that challenge the viewer's perception, while his post-minimalistic pieces focus on simplicity and the purity of line and space. Through art, I invite the audience to engage with the underlying emotions and concepts, making each piece a unique exploration of the visual language. My work was featured in Sweden, Europe and USA. The majority of my exhibitions have occurred in Sweden, and my artwork has been purchased by private collectors and public institutions in that country. On an international scale, my art has been showcased in various private and public venues. In 2019, my most recent piece was sold to Upfor gallery USA.
