Jana Magdova is a passionate Slovak artist whose works are held in private collections worldwide. Her work consists of the abstract and floral paintings. She needs quiet time for herself from time to time to gain more perspective for paintings. She seems to be a seeker for coming back to her authentic self.
She infuses each abstract painting with a vibrant and rich colour palette. Her process seems to invite a sense of play and inner exploration — painting as a way to “draw from within,” tapping into subconscious feelings and emotions rather than carefully planned compositions. She draws inspiration from unique Slovak nature and works intuitively, guided by her emotions and the inner peace painting affords her. When you look at Jana Magdova’s work, you may not always “see” a defined object or traditional scene. Instead, you feel moods, atmospheres, or emotional states. Her art invites introspection — it’s less about what things look like, more about what they feel like.
