About this artwork
"Behave" explores the tension between individual body movements and societal norms. In abstract, gestural compositions, it reflects how behavior is shaped in the space between adaptation and resistance. The works feature overlapping movement patterns, fragmented forms, and energetic lines that resemble mapped bodily gestures.
Color-wise, the series shifts between calm, meditative tones and dynamic contrasts – expressing the duality of inner reflection… and external control. The painting itself becomes a performative act where intuition meets structure, much like how the human body responds to societal rules.
"Behave" is not only a visual exploration but also a research-driven inquiry. It questions how our bodies act as carriers of social inscriptions and where the boundary lies between free movement and internalized discipline.

Freedom is the central core of my painting. I understand it not as the absence of rules, but as the ability to question one's own imprints, habitual thinking, and social value systems. My works invite viewers to allow the unfamiliar and to momentarily detach from what feels secure or deeply ingrained. I draw inspiration from neuroscience and from the exploration of urban structures and mentalities. I am interested in how perception is shaped by cultural and social contexts. The painting process itself is an act of freedom. By relinquishing strict control, intuitive decisions, layering, and ruptures create open pictorial spaces that resist fixed meanings. My works invite a sensory, embodied experience of freedom that opens curiosity and new perspectives.
