About this artwork
In this oil painting I explore the balance between form and color. The abstract, linear elements reflect the complexity of our emotions. My intention was to create a dynamic but harmonious atmosphere. Every line and every color nuance is an expression of my passion and reflection of inner dialogues. This work of art brings a vibrant, yet calm energy to any room.
« My pictorial variations of color and shape in abstract composition create an illusion of spatiality on the surface, experimenting with harmony and contrast »
Janina Kracht is an experienced German painter currently based in Berlin. A former student of the Academy of Arts in Nuremberg and the College of Arts Berlin, she graduated from the Ecole Supérieur des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1994. In her paintings, compositions spring out of color. The color defines structures, divides, subdivides, gives dynamism and perspective. Thus, shapes and colors enter a harmonic and exciting relationship with each other. In addition to her own exhibition work, Janina Kracht curates projects such as the Edmund Moeller Commemorative Exhibition in 2005 and Contemporary Art from Peru Exhibition in 2006. In 2001, she participated in the founding of the association Freie Akademie Kunst+Bau.
