About this artwork
I am very drawn to the representation of windows and doors. I have quite a collection of them. Open or closed barriers, they can sometimes blur the lines between reality and imagination. For me, they are not seen as enclosures, but rather as frames within the continuum of inside and outside, like the inlay of the exterior within the interior, or vice versa. As for the panes of glass with their narcissistic reflections, they confront my own image…
with the one I would like to represent—a beautiful mise en abyme.

Jean-Luc Wasmes, trained as a photographer at InRaCi, devoted himself to digital art after his retirement. An expert in black and white, he embraced color, thanks to his move to digital, simplifying the representation of his visions.
