About this artwork
I created this work using the reverse painting technique under glass; the details are executed first and then gradually covered by layers of color or collage. The composed landscape evokes an unstable or transforming world, but one where a tree becomes an anchor. This painting invites reflection on the relationship between the tumult of the world and the search for an inner space of calm... under one's tree!
