About this artwork
With this painting, I wanted to express the strange encounter between the everyday and the infinite. The blazing moon above the pears symbolizes metaphysical mystery, while the blue butterfly embodies fragility and transformation. This painting invites us to dream, to feel silent wonder in the face of the impossible, and to breathe in a poetic and surreal energy.
Completely self-taught and a professional since 2005, Jean-Pierre Walter's work always responds to the same ambition: to create classic surrealist works, while offering a contemporary and personal interpretation, inviting reflection on illusion, memory, and the transformation of objects into poetic symbols.
