This 130 / 97 cm oil on canvas depicts a scene of people shopping in Ibiza. On the left there is a couple looking at the clothes hanging in the street, typical of Ibiza. In the middle, a couple of girls chatting, dressed in Ibizan costumes. on the right is a couple with a baby in the father's arms. In the background you can see the typical balconies and shutters of the Balearic Islands.

Jenifer Carey is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and the United Kingdom. Music, especially jazz, is one of the main recurring themes in her art. Carey employs engraving and sculptural techniques for the faces of her subjects, whose hands and movements are always expressive. In addition, she portrays her observations and life experiences in order to "capture a moment". She creates using oils on canvas.
