Stepping outside, the fresh air flips your tangled hair.
Across the street, the neighbor’s black cat dashes by, returning from its late-night hunt.
You breathe in the scent of grass, still damp from the rain.
The tips of your socks get wet as your flipflops touch the ground.
The air is crisp, and the warm cup of coffee warms your hands.…
