About this artwork
Delicate color transitions and precisely drawn lines come together in a quiet tension between order and fragility. The luminous vertical accents pierce the calm surface like fleeting impulses—moments that emerge, briefly shine, and then fade away.
“Stay in line” moves between clarity and vulnerability. The minimalist forms and subtle color nuances create a space of concentration where time seems to stand still. At the same time, the composition reminds… us that every moment is unique and cannot be captured.
The fragile beauty of the fleeting is reflected in the deliberate balance between structure and dissolution.
Jens Fölting has been working as a freelance artist in Munich since 2015.
At the heart of his work lies the beauty of the fleeting moment. He is fascinated by those moments in which light, color, and atmosphere unfold a special emotional effect, and time seems to stand still for a brief instant. Inspired by William Turner's masterful handling of light and atmosphere, by Mark Rothko's emotional power of color, and by Jackson Pollock's spontaneous and gestural imagery, he moves between Impressionism and Abstraction.
Using mixed media techniques on mostly large-format canvases, works are created that capture less the visible reality than its emotional resonance.
He was able to successfully present his works at several exhibitions and sell them to private collectors.
