About this artwork
I created this work out of a desire to exalt and praise the natural world in all its majesty. This specific scene is based on the lofty mountains, the verdant valleys, and the clear lakes of Eastern Tibet; a place which had particularly captivated me on my first visit there years ago. I hope that by painting this work, I have conveyed the same sense of awe and wonder I felt towards nature to whomever is willing to look at this painting.
