About this artwork
This piece is an explosion of energy and spontaneity, where abstraction and primitivism blend with pop culture. I used materials salvaged from posters to connect the everyday with the emotional, while acrylic and oil pastels add texture and movement. I wanted to capture the vibrant essence of childhood and creative freedom, to fill any space with a fresh and rebellious spirit. On 350gsm Canson paper

Jesús Barbeito is an experienced painter and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. He describes the fundamental themes of his compositions as revolcing around everyday objects and still-life. In his artistic process, Barbeito employs mixed techniques with fabric, canvas, burlap, cardboard, collage, pigments, and acrylics.
