In the year 33 of our era, a man named Jesus of Nazareth was executed in Jerusalem, accused of having said that he was the son of God. Here he is represented just taken down from the cross, held by his mother Mary, who looks directly at the viewer as if questioning him. Nearly 2,000 years later, it is still current news, since its cause has never been reviewed.
