About this artwork
A composition in blue tones in which a figure with organic forms, such as a male portrait, intertwines with various geometric elements, including the development of one of Archimedes' polyhedrons, the cuboctahedron, which gives the work its name. This piece demonstrates the artist's great desire to unite his two facets: the creative and the analytical. The result is a work charged with rationality and significant touches of chance and improvisation.

Jesus Fernández Escobar is an award-winning artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Italy. He describes his works as being based on the use of rhetoric as a form of artistic expression. Through themes that are punctuated with irony and morbidity, Escobar explores abstract concepts and means of expression. He most often creates using acrylics, spray paint, marker, and pencil on canvas or wood.
