About this artwork
A bizarre and darkly humorous scene: a child points out the sun to a group of adults, as if helping them identify a suspect. Indeed, this can be viewed as a crime-themed painting, or alternatively, a work that explores the meaning of "ignorance." A surveillance camera has captured the sun’s movement trajectory, with screenshots of the footage displayed alongside it. Behind the child stand figures who seem to hold power—their hierarchical status is…
easily distinguishable, including bodyguards, record-keepers, low-ranking staff rushing in to deliver reports, and even documentary crew members. From a top-down perspective, the sun has transformed into a flattened, elongated ellipse, further amplifying the absurdity of this world. Outside the wall stand two people: a food delivery worker, standing there at a loss, and the other person is you—the one viewing this work. In this absurd world, identify yourself!
