... in the shade of an undergrowth ... the gold of the sun pierces like an interior light, manifesting this "impulse of life" so dear to the artist. Blues, yellows, greens, turquoises, purples, intermingle, pulling the painting towards abstraction. Color trumps form. The perception of colors precedes the meaning. The artist plays on this… tension between sensation and interpretation, abstraction and figurative.
