About this artwork
It's January, and the blue blossoms of the Monk's Crown, or King's Crown, are already beginning to bloom in abundance. By February, they're dotted with vibrant yellows, even though their branches prickly. This artwork is born from an explosion of life and color, where the vibrant green symbolizes hope and renewal. The blue and yellow flowers emerge like flashes of joy and serenity, capturing the ephemeral essence of nature. I wanted to convey a feeling… of profound calm and inner renewal, so that this painting brings fresh and harmonious energy to any space in your home.
« Capturing beauty and the life of the macrocosm and microcosm in painting. Expressing the most beautiful message of the real or imagined environment, radiating as positive energy. »
My work stems from a deep listening to nature and the silence that dwells within it. Since 1980, I have explored matter, color, and form as languages to express what cannot be said with words. I work with acrylics, inks, pigments, and other materials and supports such as canvas, wood, and paper, also in large formats. I am interested in texture, the mark of time, and imperfection as beauty. Although the studio is the final space for creation, many works are born in the field, imbued with its essence. My practice connects with the aesthetics of silence, the emptiness full of meaning, the beauty of the ephemeral, and the poetics of haiku. I paint to listen, to remember, to give thanks.
