About this artwork
“Partilha” means “sharing” in Portuguese. When we share something with someone, regardless of the context, we destroy its physical unity. But paradoxically, at the same time, we preserve its memory because each piece retains its original history. Thus, despite each piece becoming independent, it will always be connected to the others because it physically retains their imprint—that is, what it lacks to become One.
