About this artwork
Château Gaillard is a magical place for me. When you arrive on foot, a special atmosphere emanates from it. You get the feeling that things have happened there. The light is always surprising. I paint this place a lot and I hope to share my emotion.

Joël Garriga, who began his career in comics and advertising before turning to oil painting, primarily explores the sea, trees, and light. He favors a mixed-media technique, combining palette knife and brush to create flat areas of contrasting colors where movement guides the viewer's eye. Through his works, he conveys a vibrant energy and seeks to share with the viewer a symphony of luminous and captivating colors.
