About this artwork
On the top of ‘The Arc de Triomphe’ we have a splendid sight of Paris. I took a photo with ‘Sacré-Coeur’, roofs and streets in dull, grey, gorgeous colors. Returned to my studio, still remembering and inspired by the adventure, I preferred the thin, hard artificial plate to paint upon with oil colors.
