About this artwork
The painting was made outdoors, as you can see in the photos. I started to create shades of color that later became more intense, working in layers, highlighting the color glazes, until I obtained the final state. From the stratifications comes the title "Atmosphere", imagine flying over the atmosphere in its stratifications.

Born in Erice, Joetta Savona is an artist who trained at the Art High School of Trapani and the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. She works in an informal and gestural manner, indulging in large formats and a wide range of materials. Extremely emotional, her early work was known for its drama and dark hues, notes that are still present, although now using a wider range of colors. Her work oscillates between a denunciation of human pain and a sense of well-being provided by the contemplation of nature.
