From the Complexity series (which has a double meaning) referring to the complex layers of marks and media, in addition alluding to the complexity of natural events and phenomenae, such as the transmutation or transformation of one particle, one cell or one element into another.
All pigments are lightfast and have final layers of UV varnishes. The signature is diagonal, and allows for the painting to be hung vertically or horizontally, according… to the collector's preference.
Extra images show the layers of ink, acrylic and collaged 'skins'. The mixed media paintings are kept in a cello layer until framed.(this painting was commenced in 2018 and finalised (last varnish layer) in 2020.
