About this artwork
With light and water, life can exist . For an eternity, the tree of life has symbolised growth, life and fertility.
The Tree as a symbol also represents the connection to one’s family and ancestors.
A tree is a universal symbol of strength and growth as they stand tall and strong all over the world. They spread their roots deep into the soil to ground and stabilize themselves. Many cultures have independently utilised the tree as a highly important… symbol. For me, in times of lockdown and devastation, the tree of life symbology is empowering to think of the regrowth stage we have to look forward to once the scourge of this virus is dealt with.
