About this artwork
Natural Mystic, VI belongs to the Mystic series — a body of work conceived as organic manifestation. Mystic investigates the mystery inherent in process, where light and pigment move freely, allowing the unseen to emerge through transformation.
Rather than controlled construction, the work embraces fluid interaction and gradual revelation. Color unfolds in layered movement, creating atmospheric depth and a sense of living presence shaped by organic… evolution.
Executed with ink and acrylic on fine art paper and protected with museum-grade acrylic glass, the surface preserves the subtle luminosity and material nuance of the pigment. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, framed in treated natural oak wood and ready to hang. A hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
“An image for the divine in our time.” — Jonas Peres
Jonas Peres is a Spanish visual artist based in Madrid, Spain, trained at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), with advanced studies in Modern Art at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. His practice reflects a sustained inquiry into how art history has represented the sacred. Rooted in this investigation and informed by his studies in History and Divinity at Yale University, Peres seeks to reimagine an image for the divine within contemporary visual culture. Through luminous chromatic fields and subtle horizons, he creates immersive atmospheres where light and depth generate presence rather than narrative. In dialogue with the spiritual gravity of Mark Rothko and the cultural immediacy of Andy Warhol, his work moves between emotional abstraction and contemporary awareness. He has exhibited during the period of the Venice Biennale and at Art Basel Miami.
