About this artwork
Tequila Sunrise is a name synonymous with cocktails and partying through the warm summer nights, many of which end with sitting on an empty beach watching a glorious sunrise. While this piece is obviously a sunrise above water the material it is constructed with is ironic as the cans it is made of come from many sources, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in many ways creating their own cocktail.
