*Artist Statement
Rooted in the rhythms of daily life in Bangil-ri, Gapyeong-gun, my work weaves the landscapes of mountains, fields, clouds, and villages into visual tapestries. Recurring encounters with the earth's texture, the wind’s movement, and the shifting expressions of the sky are distilled into patterns and rhythms on the canvas. Through these, I seek to reveal the quiet beauty… within the ordinary and the fleeting nature of time, inviting viewers to recall the landscapes of their own memories.
The natural forces have an incredible power to strike awe in the hearts of all who witness them.
I discovered the fluidity of the wind, the seriousness of the trees, and the texture of the soil, and felt the essence of each element.
I hope that the 'time' that made me humble myself with the dynamism, severity and freedom of nature according to time will be expressed in my work.
South Korean contemporary artist exploring the tension between structure and spontaneity. Rooted in painting, my work engages rhythm, space, and the physicality of color. In pieces like “Rhythmical stricter and freer,” I layer lines and planes—sometimes precisely, sometimes intuitively—to evoke both order and emotion. Inspired by daily fragments like shadows, fleeting moments, and coastal light, I create compositions where stillness and motion coexist. View more works and updates on Instagram: @artcon_park
