About this artwork
Amidst difficult times (2022), thoughts continue. During this phase, I created several paintings in this style. The basic question: what does heaven look like? When you ask people how they imagine heaven, you get very interesting answers. Many spontaneously think it must be something like a vacation. Some think of all the people they would like to meet again. If there is a heaven, then many beings will be there, who, no one knows. But then you could…
still be connected to all of them, perhaps. And, since there is probably no time there, you could be connected to many people at once. This idea is expressed in this painting. Many connections are formed and go somewhere, to others who are also there. There, they are beautiful, pleasant bonds, therefore rather soft and rounded. And they overlap and interact, creating new colors.
