In "Queer," Jordi Machí uses fragmented, vibrant brushstrokes to trace the intensity of a body folding in on itself, in tension, in introspection, in affirmation. The human figure is simultaneously constructed and deconstructed, broken up by planes of color that explode against a vibrant yellow background, a symbol of freedom, visibility, and uncontained energy.
The gaze, profound and challenging, becomes the emotional epicenter of the work. It… is not a gaze that asks permission: it observes, questions, challenges. Through raw and honest gestures, the work embodies the spirit of liquid love—that love that refuses to be trapped by fixed forms or traditional structures. A love that flows without asking for forgiveness, that multiplies, that breaks, that loves without labels.
