About this artwork
La inspiración sobre la SERIE PAYASO me llega de recuerdos de niñez, estoy muy interesado en este personaje, me transmite seguridad, tranquilidad, libertad. El proceso de la obra se centra en el maquillaje y en su atuendo lleno de color que es lo que lo caracteriza.
En mi obra plasmo la interpretación de su rostro sin identidad, esas multiples escenificaciones a veces graciosas o tristes de caras, gestos, mimos, sentimientos que nos transportan… a nuestra infancia.
Intento trabajar en la figura ese misterio que la envuelve, el silencio, la sonrisa, la tristeza y me lleva a la imaginación para utilizar el col·lage con diferentes materiales reciclados como el poso del café, el cartón de las hueveras y todo tipo de papeles reciclados, que le dan volumen a la obra.
La SERIE PAYASO está realizada con la aplicación de una técnica mixta acrílica y col·lage sobre una base de tela o madera.

« My restlessness makes me constantly think about my characters. »
Josep Pozo is a Spanish painter who has exhibited his works in numerous solo events nationally. While he says his style isn't singular, but varied, one of the main features in his compositions is the ambiguity of the characters he portrays. Pozo highlights their characteristics and leaves it up to the viewer to create a narrative around their stories. He employs mixed techniques based on acrylics and collage, recycling different materials in order to obtain rich textures.
