About this artwork
In this work, I used oil paint and relief printing techniques to explore the duality between light and darkness, the known and the unknown. The use of vibrant red emerging from a black abyss evokes an inner struggle, representing the pain and passion of the human experience. Every stroke and texture is charged with emotion, inviting you to reflect on your own battles.
At some point, we must take a step forward and emerge from the darkness, rise… from the depths where we've settled, watching the years go by. Being ourselves and soaring is the only option.
There's something magical about this work, alchemy. Everyone is connected to the darkness; some even dwell within it, often without realizing it. We are energy, and passion redefines us, opening new doors. Open yourself to the mystery I offer, and you will rise again.
Created and painted with my fingers. I live surrounded by animals, you might find some hair in the artwork, it's my signature.

Juan Guerrero, trained in design and driven by painting, writing, poetry, and soundscapes, expresses his art in a visceral blend of abstraction and passion, guided by the energy of nature, trees, birds, and stars. Using physical and organic techniques, he paints with his fingers, surrendering his body to the creative process, often accompanied by candles and incense—a kind of alchemy—and the company of stray dogs and cats. His work evokes a dark and emotional journey of introspection and self-discovery, of continuous reconstruction, conveying a deeply personal and sensory feeling that awakens mystery and ignites inner strength. Something new and unexpected, a catalyst for change, the sign you've been searching for, is approaching.
