In this small-format piece created in 2024, abstraction becomes dramatic and narrative. "Saturn" stems from a deep emotional connection with the universe of Goya's Black Paintings, recapturing that atmosphere of tension, shadow, and exposed flesh that defines the myth.
Despite its modest dimensions (27.5 x 37.5 cm), the work possesses an intrinsic monumentality. The oil painting technique… allows for a material density that is almost palpable.
