About this artwork
Minimalistic and atmospheric, Memories of Tomorrow unfolds like a horizon seen through mist. The surface is delicate yet assured, with fine vertical drips and softened edges. "Memories of Tomorrow" plays with the viewer's perception, making them wonder if their tomorrow may have been experienced before.
As a passionate linguaphile, I originally studied translating and interpreting at university. My professional background allowed me to travel extensively, exploring the architectural beauty and landscapes of Italy, Spain (Al Albaycín in Granada is one of my favourite places in the world), Southern France, Sweden, Budapest, and many other architectural oases. Coming from an architect and linguist family that spent a lot of time exploring the white-washed houses of Andalucía, I became increasingly interested in architecture and abstract art rooted in rustic Mediterranean aesthetics and Scandinavian minimalism. To me, art, aesthetics, and beautiful architecture with attention to detail should not be a sterile experience reserved for museums, but – quite the opposite – an organic part of everyday life, livable, touchable.
