About this artwork
I created Pratum out of an inner urge – like a field that consists not of earth, but of movement, memory, and color. For me, this image is not a static motif, but a living space in which growth and dissolution occur simultaneously.
The swirling, organic brushstrokes are reminiscent of grasses, currents, or even invisible forces that permeate everything. I didn't just apply the paint, but guided it, pushed it, and thickened it – sometimes deliberately,… often intuitively. The vibrant pinks and yellows, in particular, burst forth from the depths like blossoms or islands of energy, creating deliberate counterpoints to the cooler, flowing base of blues and greens.
