About this artwork
In this work, I captured my fascination with the interplay of light and texture using acrylic, pastel, and charcoal. The abstract forms express movement and calm at the same time, while the cool colors convey a gentle clarity. Upon viewing, one senses a calming energy that fills any space with subtle dynamism and inspires reflection.
Juliane Herrmann (born 1987) is a painter, communication designer, and illustrator who trained at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart and has attended art schools since childhood. In her mostly abstract works, she combines a precisely planned approach with a spontaneous spirit of experimentation, using a variety of materials and bold colors. Her paintings are colorful, wild, and warm, inviting the viewer to discover both the overall picture and fine details, evoking strong, positive, and at the same time thoughtful emotions.
